How to Replace Your Car's Flat Tire

Getting a flat is a hassle, but it happens to most drivers. If you get one while driving, carefully pull off of the road. If you can, stop your vehicle in a flat, grassy area. Set the emergency brake and put your hazard lights on. Secure your car with tire chocks. Use the jack to raise your car.

You'll need a lug wrench to remove the lug nuts from the flat tire. Put the lugs in a safe place, such as your pocket. Pull the wheel off. Remove the tire from the wheel. Put your spare tire on the wheel. Align it with the bolts. Put the lug nuts on and tighten them.

At McLaren Scottsdale in Scottsdale, AZ, we can fix or replace your flat tire. Stop in to see us, and stay safe when you drive.
